Hoodsport, WA

Fjordin Crossin is based on a Scandinavian tradition and involves the crossing of Hood Canal with a barrel of aquavit accompanied by a flotilla of paddlers racing to be the first to cross the canal and return to Hoodsport. There is a walking processional to deliver the barrel to the dock, fresh oysters, kids activities including marine touch tanks, and beachside eats under the Hoodsport pier with a drink at the Aquavit Grotto.
