This house is the childhood home of Vance DeBar Colvig, a.k.a. Bozo the Clown. Also on its front lawn is the biggest Still used during Prohibition in Jackson County. Both are commemorated by signs mounted on a fence.

The sign notes that Colvig was the "original" Bozo the Clown. His rights to the Bozo character were bought out by a competitor in 1956, when Colvig was 64 years old.
