Myrtle Point, OR
These iconic 14- to 25-feet tall fiberglass sculptures are referred to as Muffler Men based on their original purpose drawing attention to muffler shops along America's roadside landscape. Originally mechanics, they have been repurposed as cowboys, lumberjacks, and more. This version of a lumberjack stands sentinel in front of the Coos County Logging Museum. The statue is vintage 1963 (or so) and spent time in Grants Pass before relocating to Myrtle Point.
