Original description locates the shoe tree in the corner of a park next to Walla Walla University Church, however no shoes were found in the trees in that area. In the center of the park was a tree with the most sparse collection of shoes I've ever seen in an official "shoe tree". Perhaps the old one got cleaned out and this is the start of a new tradition?
