Officially the AS-YOU-LIKE-IT library, the Seattle Metaphysical Library was established in 1961. It has grown over the decades to hold over 16,000 books plus hundreds of audio and video tapes, CDs, DVDs, magazines and newspaper clippings on a variety of esoteric and controversial topics. The material and events are intended to support personal growth to enhance our understanding of ourselves, the universe and our place in it.

The library is open to the respectful public with no charge for browsing the materials or reading at their location. Operating expenses are paid for by subscribers, who are able to borrow material, and by the Raynier Foundation.
