Preston, ID

The film Napoleon Dynamite, chronicling a few weeks in the life of a high school geek, was released on June 11, 2004 and rapidly became a cult classic. It was shot almost entirely in and around the town of Preston.

Ritewood Egg Co. was the setting of the scenes where Napoleon worked on an egg farm for about $1 per hour. Never did learn whether the chickens have large talons. The facility currently has access restrictions based on food safety, so the buildings could only be photographed from a distance.
