Artist Donald O'Connor painted the mural in 1992, during the height of Roslyn's popularity as the fictional TV town of Cicely, Alaska, in the comedy-drama series "Northern Exposure." Modeled on an Andy Warhol silkscreen, the mural was an oblique commentary on the fleeting nature of fame. However, unlike most murals, this one has been routinely repainted to keep it looking good.
