Heroic bronze statue of the two explorers overlooking the Pacific at the end point of their westward exploration. The Turnaround at Seaside, Oregon is designated as the official end of the Lewis and Clark Trail. In 1990, a bronze statue of Meriwether Lewis, William Clark and Seaman, was installed facing the ocean at the west end of Broadway on the center of the Promenade. The monument crafted by sculptor Stanley Wanlass commemorates the 4,000 mile journey from Saint Louis to the Oregon Coast.
