Some shoe trees are so packed with shoes, you can't help but notice them (see https://pbase.com/heffa/image/165653384). Others have so few shoes, they are entirely forgettable and lame. The Evelyn Schiffler Park Shoe Tree falls into this latter category. I only counted three pairs of shoes in the tree, though a local passer-by said there used to be a lot more. Makes you wonder who harvests the abandoned shoes out of a tree - used clothing store, perhaps?!
