Cape Horn Trail is a moderately challenging loop trail with some elevation gain which affords some amazing views of the Columbia River Gorge. The site was developed in dedication to Nancy Russell, who saved this slice of heaven and its breathtaking views.
The entire loop includes a lower portion that has views of Cape Horn Falls, but the lower portion is closed from February 1 to July 15 for Peregrine falcon breeding season. This leaves an out-and-back hike with access to the most impressive views of the river.
