Lincoln City, OR

The Anchor Inn is a little motel on Highway 101, right near the beach. It's a fun stop with lots of kitsch and photo opportunities, even one for dogs! There are entire boats in the front yard and so much nautical, Hollywood, and eclectic memorabilia, you just won't know where to look. Out back there is a fun trail with things to look at. It is purported to have an octopus attacking the boat's captain, but we couldn't find it and when we asked at the front desk they never heard of an octopus. Must have escaped some time ago.

Anchor Inn is the oldest motel in Lincoln City, and cautions prospective guests that it is "not for everybody." We would definitely stay here... fun place!
