A very interesting deed in which Simon Brown sells 98 acres in Pepperellboro to John Patterson for the sum of 120 pounds lawful money. Less than 1 year later John Patterson sold the same tract of land back to Simon Brown for "The sum of 10 shillings lawful money, but more especially the love and good will which I bear to Simon Brown of Pepperellboro aforesaid yeoman and for his advancement in the world."

I have a feeling there was an interesting story here... sadly that story may be lost to history...
