Lost Racing Pigeon

A pretty pigeon that's lost its way. I can only read part of the band - 2021, ..EER, ..111
Poor thing has a sad outlook as it's not used to foraging for food. Startled by a crow and flew away.

Oh, poor thing. I wonder how it got so lost? I have occasionally seen one of these racers over the years, and always worry about them. You got a beautiful shot of this forlorn bird.

splendid detailed picture and exposition! add found one like 25 years ago in the middle of the wood caught him and bring it home, gave him water and food, couple days later he was gone

A fine shot, but I have to feel sorry for the poor thing. Too bad it's not possible to contact whoever lost it.
