A hot sweaty youngster after our week of record heat. It's been three years since
they've nested in our bird house. It was made in a sheltered workshop and
the roof is copper reclaimed from the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa when that roof
was redone. A metal roof in the heat doesn't seem like a good idea but the chickadees
have chosen it a few times. Ten minutes after I took this shot he jumped and flew
to the lawn and then the hedge where his parents visited him immediately.
