I always check the creek at this time of year for turtles. Sometimes it's snappers but this day
a painted turtle was floating near the surface of the murky cold water.
It turned and started to dig into the mud.
In a short time it was halfway buried and a moment later had completely disappeared. Goodbye 'til spring.
(Didn't have the polarizing filter on so photos aren't as clear as I'd like.)
