On a gloomy rainy day the feeder under the eaves is very popular. This female juvenile cardinal
is one of three youngsters fledged a few weeks ago.



This is her brother - still a long way to go to get the adult colouring.



The Goldfinches are also flocking to the feeder but only the males. The females are probably
on the nest as this is their time to have a family.



The molting adult cardinal shares space with the finches.
