Birds in the Park (2 photos)

Since April 1, 2013 I have photographed all but 4 of these 65 birds in Andrew Haydon Park.
Those 4 were shot by fellow pbasers in the park. It is amazing that such a small area with
2 ponds and a piece of shoreline could attract so many species. This is in spite of dogs,
large family picnics, model boats.....it's a well used park.

This is what the park looks like today, Nov 27th - and this is a colour photo, not changed to black
and white ! Only a few Scaups, Buffleheads and Canada Geese are left in the river and the
park is closed so my count is finished for 2013 - unless a Snowy Owl drops by.

That's a great list Linda! Well done and well done with this nice farewell postcard shot of the park. I guess that will be the last look at the park this year for many of us since the parking lot is now closed. What a difference compared to just 10 days ago when we were taking photos of the eider that balmy Saturday. It's like a different world there now, unrecognizable under all that snow and ice.

Wow!! Who'd have thought there would be so many different birds at Andrew Haydon. Well done! And a wonderful shot of the park as it is today.

A terrific list of birds captured at AHP Linda. It's great to actually see the wide variety of birds photographed at the park listed. Excellent photo of the park after our first snow too.
