This is the arctic tundra in winter, just south of Deadhorse, Alaska. It was so cold and windy at the time this photo was taken (around -20 F, before the wind chill), my eyes were watering and that caused my eyelashes to keep freezing together. Usually I avoid the "hand of man" in my photos here, but without the road I don't think this photo would have been nearly as interesting. Hope you like it.
