Towpath Marathon, Akron to Cuyahoga Heights, Ohio. October 10, 2004


Second year in a row at the Towpath. New course this year: point to point instead of out and back. Finish line this year is at the Canal Way Center 3 miles North of Rockside Rd.

Early morning mist at Indigo Lake Train backed up to let runners across to proceed to starting line Early in the race - still striding well Just past the I-80 (Ohio Turnpike) overpass bridge?
Later on - fatigue is on the horizon Looking across the river to the finish line Railroad cars on overpass near the finish The last few yards to the finish - I'm still over a half hour away

Never wear a cotton singlet without lubrication! Waving to the camea (being wielded by Julie) I'm reduced to a race walk at this point - or at least it looks that way Headed for the tunnel - finish line just past the end of it
