I remember going to Dan's in the early Sixties up until around 1970. I recall it being torn down along with so much else in the area in the early Seventies. Are you sure Dan's was not there in '60-'63 ?

Hi RPM....when did they tear Dan's down? A number of years after my grandparents sold our house around 1949 we rented a beach house for three years on Nantasket Ave (1960-63) and Dan's was gone then. Clint

Hi Clint. I went to Dan's Delicatessen a lot up until it was torn down. I remember reaching into the cold water Coke machine and getting my bottle of Coke to have with my grilled cheese ( no pickle please ) ! Good times there with my dad. I miss those days.

How many people remember Dan's Delicatessen on Nantasket Ave? My grandparents owned a home on Edgewater Rd in the 40's and I spent my summers there watching all the Nantasket boats coming and going from the backyard. These were great days.

Anyone remember the America House Hotel from the 1940s or so? My Aunt Lizzie and Uncle Tano Viola had it, and my Dad used to spend the summers there. I remember the Wild Mouse, Joe - Dad would never let us go on it or the roller coaster. Congo Cruise was OK!

Yes, I remember the Wild Mouse at Paragon Park. It made very quick turns. I lived in Hull on Packard Avenue back in 1959 - 1961 I worked at Funland Park and attended Hull High. joesfl@aol.com

Does anyone remember the penny candy store down the street (maybe a few streets over from?) Paragon Park? We went yearly to PP and stopped at the candy store each time when we were little, but Dad stopped taking us when we were teenagers. I missed that place!

Does ANYONE remember the wild mouse? It was a little roller coaster and it was wild! My dad took me when I was a kid and he got bruised from going on there cause it pushed you back and forth.

I remember the boat ride from Boston. the roller coaster is now located in a six flags in Maryland.

i remember the smell of the old Congo Cruise ride, the smell of the air inside the Kooky Kastle, The 97 foot hill of the coaster, and i remember the old Whip, and how amazed I was that it opened every year.

Steve: The last I knew Leo Georgeopolis is still alive and lives on South Ave in Hull. If you are still looking for a pic you might track him down and see what he might have.

Robert - any chance yoou might know of a picture from the 50's or 60's of Natantasket showing Leo's Franfurter stand? It was located down town, fairly close to the carousel.
