I elected to end the year with yet another view of the church I affectionately refer to as the 'Mill Pond Church' though officially that isn't its name. With this scenic view it's hard to go wrong. As you can see the Mill Pond is now pretty much completely encased in ice after a recent cold spell, though the forecast calls for 40s (F or 4.4C) later in the week.
This photo also marks the completion of my first full year of 'Photo a Day.' Although I've managed to take a photo every day (I believe I missed once in January 2006) I haven't always been able to post every day. Actually this one would have been added to my 'Photo A Day' gallery yesterday evening, but after having been uploaded to my Winter gallery my Internet connection was lost for the remainder of the evening and only now was restored.
Internet outages however have not been generally to blame for my tardiness in getting around to the images of others--just a too-busy life. My apologies. And it is my sincere intent to do a lot better in the coming year. (After all I have a vested self-interest in doing so: Much of what I know from photography I've learned from the many outstanding photographers on Pbase that share this passion of taking and posting a photo a day...)
In any case truly a million thanks for the many kind words of support and advice I have received from the Pbase community over the past year. It means a lot.
And of course I wish for each of you a truly great New Year. May 2007 be a good bit better for all of us.
