Teatro Real is originally built in 1850 and recently renovated, Madrid's Teatro Real now hosts
opera, concerts and ballet, with a policy of being open to all.
One of the most beautiful of European lyric theatres, it can seat between 1440 and 1750, depending
on the size of orchestra (and whether it is needed at all).

In addition to the main house, there are different halls throughout the building, decorated with
works of art from the Prado and the Reina Sofía Museum. It is also home to the Madrid Symphony
Orchestra and Choir and during its annual opera season it has its own productions, as well as co-
productions with internationally renowned companies.

Plaza de Oriente. There is the sculpture of Philipp IV on horse. This work of art made Pietro Tacci
in year 1640 on the grounds of an Valazquez`s portrait.
