Blankness

view map

The title, it sort of reminds me of her look, and how it must be to be a woman in Northern Sudan.
Wadi Halfa is a tough town too. A strategic position during world wars, now abandoned by the
militaries of other countries (probably a good thing), it is now the port town on the Sudanese
side of Lake Nassar for boats coming down from Aswan, Egypt. It's definitely not the place to be
a woman ...not here, a stupid comment, I know, but realize this is just about the farthest you
can get from "modern" civilization, in a very "radical" islamic country where pretty much
anything goes, as long as you have the money for it.

Taken in Wadi Halfa, Sudan.
