An amazing church and place. We were there the day before Christmas and
it was an amzing site with a steady stream of pilgrims walking up to the
church. The local women spurring us on and making fun of me because one of
the women of our group was beating me up the hill. It was quite a climb and
took about an hour and a half to make it from the "Traffic Jam" to the church.

The church is actually built in a cave about halfway up the valley below Lalibela.
This woman was at the front door, begging, yet not begging but just thanking people
for any money they could spare. She did not ask for money, but relied on the kind-
ness of others to just help out.
