Ethiopian Rosetta Stone

I really couldn't find much info about this in any guidebook but the little I found
on the web says:
"A stone erected by an ancient ruler in Ge’ez, Greek and Sabian
(an ancient South Arabian culture mentioned in the Bible) was discovered by three
farmers in 1983."

Another little bit I found, giving a reason for the stone being housed where it is:
"...dates from the 4th Century. Hidden in a field of Tef (Ethiopia’s main grain) and
discovered by a group of farmers in 1981, this pillar of rock inscribed with Ge’ez (Ethiopia’s
religious language), Greek and Sabaean (Ethiopia’s ancient language), tells the story of King
Ezana’s Christian military campaigns. Best of all, however, it contains a curse at the bottom,
vowing that anyone moving the pillar will “meet an untimely death”. Needless to say, it hasn’t
been moved from its place of discovery…

Housed in a little tin shack on the side of the road. It is
said to contain origins of seven languages (from what I remember) and no one knows
how or why it came to be. The general consencus is that it shouldn't be in existence.
But it is, and here it is.

Taken just outside of Axum, Ethiopia.
