Great Horned Owlet, 2005. While being banded by a naturalist, one of the owlets (owlet 1) jumped out of the nest and fluttered to the ground. It was hoisted back up with a rope and put back into the nest. The other owlet jumped to a branch just above the nest and it never returned to the nest. Est 24 days old (3 weeks).
