This and the preceding series of shots of this accommodating Cooper's Hawk were all taken from the comfort of my home, through either our kitchen or bedroom windows. My wife first spotted the Hawk perched on our back fence, just looking around. I got several shots of it in this location. Then it flew up onto a branch of the Spruce tree above. I got a clear view of it there from an upstairs window. The light was just right, and the Hawk was in no hurry to leave. Probably the low sun was in its eyes, and it didn't see me. It was perched only about 30 feet from where I was. It posed for over a half hour, when finally, I got tired of it and put away my camera. sometime later, it was gone. All this time, it kept looking at the birds at my feeders, but never made an attempt to catch one. Perhaps it was just scouting out next-day's lunch.
