Another take-off and fly-by to entice his lady to follow him to the near shore.
The male was swimming along the near shore amid the mallards. Every once in a while he would fly off to check with his lady who was sleeping on the far shore. There he would swim around for some time, then take-off again to land near us. He did this quite a few times until finally the Mrs. woke up and followed him to where we were.
