Note the two small ear tufts which are not usually visible for Snowy Owls.

This female was perched very low right beside a busy road. I managed a few shots before moving on quickly as it is illegal to park and take photographs along the road. Also, a snow plow was fast approaching, busily clearing snow from the shoulder of the road.
