Three images of the Barred Owl, first catching a vole/mouse, then a short hop up and finally looking to go higher to better consume dinner in private. (First posting of this two-part SERIES.)

Top Image: The owl having caught the vole, covers it from view to protect it against other predators and perhaps from us, few photographers, clicking away.
