Our Yard

Reportedly there is an influx of Evening Grosbeaks to our region. This is the first time I've photographed one at my feeders. I took this photo through my kitchen window. The moment I stepped outside, it flew off, along with a small flock perched high up in our spruce tree. That's the last I saw of them, but hopefully they will be back.

They are a beautiful bird did not realize that they has so much yellow.

About 17 of them have been visiting my Manitoba Maples and feeders. You can hear a steady stream of seed casings falling through the branches when they are high up in the trees feasting. Then they move down to the bird feeding station and bird baths until something scares them like a coopers that comes through every so often....sent you a pm
