Ottawa West

Driving along a highway, I spotted 5-6 Wild Turkeys foraging in the distance in the same field where a few days earlier I had seen a White-tailed Deer and her Fawn grazing in the tall grasses. I had stopped on the far side of the road for a better look, when I noticed this male Harrier hunting in low-flight. I quickly lowered my car window, grabbed my camera and managed 6-7 shots before a transport truck whizzed-by. When the dust had settled, the Harrier had disappeared.

A difficult capture that was handled nicely under limited time conditions.
Nice in flight capture.

Note to self - always take a camera. You've proved the point by getting some great shots over the past few days.

Beautiful bird of prey Hank. In the Netherlands, it can only be seen during migration and in winter
