As I was driving along a highway, I saw a White-tailed Deer and its young Fawn grazing in tall grass, quite close to the Hwy and close to a house. I drove past the house, got out of my car with my camera very carefully hoping to get a shot of Mother and Fawn. However, as soon as Mother spotted me, she engaged in her decoy act and took off very fast. The fawn also immediately disappeared in the tall grasses. Mother took big strides and ran a long way, hopping a fence in the process and finally coming to a stand at the edge of a bush from which she kept her eye on me. I couldn't see the fawn from the road and since I didn't want to disturb it I left, but I did get some good shots of Mom running, but sadly missed the fence jump.
