Fourteenth posting in the series "BIRDS, BLOOMS and BUDS".

Like the Inigo Bunting I posted a few days ago, this Waxwing is also eating apple blossom petals. I've seen them do that on several occasions. This apparently is not uncommon as in one of my bird books, their diet is described to be mainly fruit, tree buds, flowers and insects, so not a total vegetarian.

Here in The Netherlands, we only see the Waxwing in winter. Well focused between the leaves.
