Not the sharpest flight shot, but my first ever of a Ruddy Turnstone in flight and in my opinion not bad at 1/250 sec + the use of the 1.4 T.C. (obviously not a good set-up for flight shots). I previously posted a few stationary/feeding shots of it.
I've been off-grid for the past four days or so due to two devastating touch-down tornados that hit our region last Friday. Lots of damage in its wake and many many thousands without power for several days. We are fine and suffered only some minor inconvenience due to the hydro outage. I had a generator that I bought 20 years ago after a major ice storm, but never got to use seriously untill now. I filled it with gas and it started on the first pull. We took turns with our neighbour using it to keep our freezers running. Our power was restored late last night whilst we were sleeping and were awaken by our alarm system going off. After frantically trying to shut it off, in a stiil not totally awake state, I finally pulled the plug on it; then we had our first hot, home-made, drink since several days ago, then back to sleep.
