20171023 6815 SERIES - Monarch.jpg

Ottawa West

Two images of a Monarch. About two weeks ago, I thought I had seen the last Monarch for this season. I had not seen any in my backyard for a week or so. However a few days ago I encountered two whilst looking for birds some distance from home. These were perched on and feeding on clover, which provided a nice natural setting.

Still heading south! It is getting pretty late for them. Nonetheless, you got two superb photos, rich in colour, details and in perfect light.
