The Great Egrets too have returned. Some 10 years ago, they were a rare sight here. Now, they come back in increasing numbers every year. There are often two or three in a nearby park, and some thirty were observed at Shirley's bay last year. They are even nesting here now. In this image, the Egret is in breeding plumage.
