This Barred Owl was perched in this location, directly behind our house, for some six hours. It then flew to a lower perch a short distance away to commence hunting. I had previously seen it at night in a neighbours front yard tree ( see http://www.pbase.com/hankvv/image/164613308 ). I have not seen, or heard it now for some four weeks, so it has likely moved on.
