20161111 8592 SERIES - Red Fox.jpg

Algonquin Park

Three images, my final postings of these foxes, two adults and one young. They were found in in the wild in Algonquin Park, the oldest provincial park in Canada. It is a huge wilderness park, about 7,600 sq. Km. in size or about 1/4 the size of Belgium. These foxes have a den some 4 km. from a main highway that passes through the park. They have apparently been at this location for many years and have become quite accustomed to photographers and others who flock over to see and photograph them. This was my first time seeing them.

Top image: Adult male. Note the distinctive pinkish markings on its nose.

Adult female.

Young Fox pup. Reportedly, there were several pups last winter; however, only one was seen presently.

Stunning set of Red Fox images. Nice to see they are respected in Canada - unlike here in the UK were they are treated appallingly, especially by those who should know better.

All your fox photos are superb, and this last set is the best yet. Absolutely love them all. THey should all be framed and hung somewhere.

All three shots are great, but that first one belongs in a magazine or book. Beautiful!
