20161111 8827 SERIES - Gray Jay.jpg

Algonquin Park

Three images of the Gray Jay, Canada's recently adopted National Bird. Previously known as The Canada Jay and/or Whiskey Jack, the Gray Jay is found, only in Canada, in the boreal forests of all Provinces and Territories. This Robin-sized hardy Jay is both intelligent and very friendly. It spends its entire life in the northern woods and has been seen nesting and incubating eggs in temperatures as low as -30 degrees Celsius.

3 very nice images, Hank. I love these birds, but find them quite hard to photograph.
