20150430 143 Skunk 1r1.jpg

Ottawa West

A few of us were walking along a trail when all of a sudden there was some rustling in the leaves along the edge of the lake, not far from the trail. Oops, it was a Skunk. The startled Skunk then decided to cross the path right behind us. A little too close for comfort, but two of us making up the rear, managed to get a few full-frame shots without getting sprayed. The Skunk then disappeared into the woods.

Great reflexes to get this shot, Hank. Its tail is almost at "action stations"; so we were VERY lucky!

Great shot Hank and as others have stated a little too close. This skunk apparently had no fear of the camera! :-)

Seems like a risky business trying to get a great shot of this guy like this.

Phew! A full frame shot is better than a full dose of spray. Well done.

Taking it at 400mm is far enough !! Nice work Hank :))

Nice shot although a little to close. You possibly came close to wearing a very scented perfume. LOL, Hank

Nice little kitty! Glad you got a nice shot and didn't have to take a tomato soup bath afterwards.
