Bonaventure Island

Five of 12 consecutive images of a Northern Gannet taking off from the water. It took the Gannet considerable distance before becoming airborne. The images were taken from a moving boat.

Top image: The floating/swimming Gannet on the left was cloned in from image # 666 simply to show the take-off was from a floating position.
