Two images of local beach merchants. They were not permitted on the resort beach so these enterprising "Merchants" would regularly paddle along the shallow waters off the beach in front of our resort, commencing early in the morning, to try and sell their wares to the many beach-walkers.
Top Image: This particular fella was flying the Canadian flag, presumably to attract some of the many Canadian vacationers.
The merchants would paddle from their compound on the left, around the end of the pier and then towards the resort beach on the right. (This pano image is four images merged with the merchant in the lower left cloned in to illustrate the path they traveled to the resort beach.)
