Posting 7 of 13 in this SERIES chronicling the life of "The Wounded Buck". "Click" http://www.pbase.com/hankvv/image/153715503 for posting #1, then "Click" "Next" "Next" etc., or hit the right arrow on the keyboard, to view all postings in the order posted.

Top image taken about 51 days after the Buck was injured. He's standing proud and looking better. I couldn't see his wounds as his back was covered with a light layer of snow.

Bottom image taken about 70 days after the injury. The Buck is now still constantly licking both wounds. A lot of pus is still oozing from the exit wound as per inset taken a couple days earlier.

My next posting will be a series of images taken about 28 weeks after we first found the wounded Buck.

Two stunning images, Hank. A terrific series detailing the recovery of this wonderful animal. Like Linda, I wonder who was responsible for this injury.

The mystery is, of course, who was responsible for this injury done to
such a fine animal-and in an area that's visited often by adults and children.
