A very accommodating Falcon.
A friend and I were were checking out the river edge at the east end of the park when all of a sudden we saw this raptor fly over and perch up high in a far away dead tree towards the west end of the park. At first I thought it to be a Merlin but my friend thought it was too big for a Merlin. It probably took us at least five minutes, stumbling over rocks and inclines, to get to the place where we had seen the Falcon perch. Luckily it was still there and we were able to get some good shots. A good start to the day. This is the first time I've seen a Peregrine Falcon along this stretch of the river.
