Two images of a Blanding's (right) and a Painted (left) Turtle sharing a log. The images were taken from different points along the shore, about 30 meters apart. The top image was taken with the distant woods nicely reflecting in the water whilst the second image was taken looking towards mid-lake. I took the second image hoping to get better detail of the Blanding's yellow throat. I think I achieved that, but the more notable difference in the images is the difference in the colours of the water due to the images having been taken from a slightly different POV.
Top image taken looking towards the near shore across the bay with the green of the trees reflecting in the water.
This image taken looking towards the middle of the small lake with only the sky reflecting in the water.
