Three images of the Great Horned Owls - the two Owlets and Mom. They have been seen quite frequently high up in the canopy since the Owlets fledged. More recently they have been spotted in some Willow trees across the bay from their nest tree. They have also been spotted back at the nest tree and surrounding area. Presently, I spotted them not far from the nest tree, in a tree located at the edge of the bay. These photos were taken from across the bay at considerable distance from the Owlets.
The Owlets are now some 11 to 12 weeks old. They both seem to be doing well under the constant watch of mom who still supplies them with their food. We have occasionally seen them flying across the bay.

The left Owlet just woke up and is doing some wing stretches whilst the other is busy preening.
Mom, recently found peeking over a branch in the Willow Tree across the bay from the nest tree, whilst the two young are perched on a nearby branch. (taken with my 80 - 400mm lens)
