Four images out of a series of 10 consecutive images entitled "Wing exercises".

Top Image: Little Brother fledged the evening of may 12, two days after Big Sister ventured from the nest. His initial flight was reportedly a short one to a lower branch on a nearby tree. From there he flew back to the nest tree to this branch which is some three meters below the nest. That is where I found it the next morning doing these wing exercises.

Note, as I previously posted, unlike his Big Sister, Little Brother did not initially perch on the ground. Rather we found him the next day sharing a meal with Mom up high in a Pine Tree whilst Big Sister looked on from a much lower branch of a nearby tree.

I have not seen the owls since, but reportedly they have been seen recently a considerable distance from the nest. I assume therefor that they are all doing well.
