Three images of the now 2 to 3 day old Hooded Merganser Ducklings.

Top image: Looking a little perplexed, perhaps wondering where Mom and the rest of the brood are.

Standing guard whilst its sibling is taking care of an itch.

Trying out its wings whilst its sibling seems to spot something. Perhaps Mom and the gang.
