One Image entitled. A GOOD BYE FLY-BY.
The Puffin images that I have posted to date were all taken during my first two visits to the Elliston Bird Island site. The first visit was with my wife right after our arrival to Elliston. The Puffins did not come to the mainland during that visit. During my second visit, later that afternoon, about twenty Puffins came to the mainland. It is then that I got all of the close-up shots during my 1.5 hour stay. We did go back to see the Puffins twice the following day and yes, one of the Puffins obliged my wife by coming to the mainland so she too could shake its paw , , I mean see one up close.
This is my last Puffin posting for now. I have many more Puffin images but I will save some for an other time. During our second day at Elliston, we also went to Cape Bonavista, about 6 KM away. There is a Lighthouse there, a museum and another seabird colony close to shore. There are also other attractions at Bonavista - all well worth visiting.
